9 to 11 AM - CE Program  - "Medicare, Medicaid, or Both for People Under 65 with Disabilities" Presented by David Thompson & Steve Schmidt, Associate Attorneys at Carlson & Burnett; and BevVan Phillips, Home Modifications Program Coordinator at Key Complete Therapies

How prepared are you for questions from your clients about Medicare, Medicaid -- or both for people under 65 with disabilities?  This program will expand your knowledge base so that ou'll be in a better position to advise clients and families with diverse needs who are seeking your expertise.  The program will review each benefit program and its eligibility criteria and requirements as well as various planning strategies relating to long term care.  This program will provide two hours of Life & Health CE credit for Nebraska & Iowa Insurance, CFP, CPA, Legal and PACE.

11:45 AM to 1PM - Business Meeting & Featured Presentation - "Take Off the Mask: Is Your Life Story Worth Telling?" - Presented by Dan Meers

For the past 27 years, Dan has served as KC Wolf, the mascot for the Kansas City Chiefs football team. Dan averages more than 350 appear- ances each year and he has traveled throughout the United States and around the world entertaining fans of all ages. In 2006 Dan became the 1ˢᵗ NFL mascot inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. When he began his career with the Chiefs back in 1990 Dan never dreamed that he would still be wearing a costume 2 ½ decades later, but as Dan’s wife likes to say……”OLD MASCOTS NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL LIKE IT.”

In November 2013, Dan came within inches of losing his life while practicing a bungee jump and zip line stunt at Arrowhead Stadium. The stunt went terribly wrong and Dan plummeted 75 feet before crashing into the stadium seats. Miraculously, he survived. Dan will share his incredible story and the important lessons that he learned during his long road to recovery about leadership and about life. Whether at home, work or in the community, Dan will challenge you to live each day to the fullest.
