3:00PM -- Estate Planning with Charitable Giving (1-hour CE program) -- Presented by Catherine French McGill, JD, CAP®, AEP® - Gift Acceptance Manager, Omaha Community Foundation
Charitable planning, like most areas of financial planning, is not one-size-fits-all. The needs and priorities of a donor may differ depending on overall goals and intentions. Two of the more common ways to create a charitable legacy are donor advised funds and private foundations. This program will involve a deeper dive into the features and benefits of donor advised funds, specifically in comparison with private foundations; and compare and contrast sponsors of donor advised funds, including national gift funds, community foundations, and single-issue sponsors. It will also include a general overview of non-cash charitable gifts, including charitable giving with retirement assets and charitable giving for business owners, and how to incorporate these strategies into your conversations with donors to maximize charitable giving.
All programs are FREE for NAIFA and NABIP members. Non-members are welcome to attend for $50 (half-day) or $75 (full-day). Lunch is included for all in-person registrations.
