NAIFA-Nebraska is teaming up with NetStudy and Producers XL to offer a 4-Hour Refresher Mandatory LTC Training seminar on Thursday, March 5 from 10AM to 3PM Central Time. The program will be presented at Scott Conference Center, with a "virtual" option via Zoom. There will be a one-hour lunch break from Noon to 1PM Central and lunch will be provided for those who attend in-person.
LTC Certification Training: The Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 mandated that all agents representing long-term care partnership policies complete initial and ongoing training programs. This course is intended to fulfill the ongoing training requirements for those insurance professionals seeking to fulfill LTC partnership training requirements.
Course Overview: During this course, you will learn about the state and federal regulations and requirements and the relationship between qualified state long-term care insurance Partnership programs and other public and private coverage of long-term care services, including Medicaid. You will learn about the available long-term care services and providers, as well as changes or improvements in long-term care services or providers. Also taught will be the alternatives to the purchase of long-term care insurance as well as the effect of inflation on benefits and the importance of inflation protection. You will also learn about consumer suitability standards and guidelines.
About the Instructor: Angie Hughes, Managing Partner with Producers XL has both the Long Term Care Professional (LTCP) and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designations. In obtaining her LTCP designation, she is also a Certified Train-the-Trainer and has taught the LTCP designation course for numerous financial advisors. She has worked with NAIFA and other nationally recognized associations in developing marketing strategies to drive LTC sales to members as well as increasing membership. She spends most of her time working with advisors on developing marketing strategies for adding long-term care insurance into their practice and developing solutions for their clients.
ClearCert Certified: This course has been reviewed and approved by ClearCert and will meet all carrier requirements for ongoing refresher training to sell long-term care products. The program is approved for CE credits for both Nebraska and Iowa residents.
