"You’re Collecting Sensitive Personal And Financial Data From Your Clients: Are You Doing What Is Required To Protect It?" -- Presented by Tom Kelley of McGrath North Law FIrm

Insurance professionals and financial advisors regularly collect and hold sensitive personal and financial data from their clients.  Most cannot operate without that data.  Are you doing what you need to do to protect it?  While every business that collects and holds sensitive client personal and financial data is subject to industry specific privacy and data security rules and regulations, the FTC (the federal agency that is empowered to bring lawsuits against private companies for insufficient data security practices under the unfairness prong of Section 5 of the FTC Act) suggests that starting with security and consciously factoring it into all business decision making can help any business manage the sensitive information collected and under its control and, in turn, significantly reduce the risk of a data compromise.  This presentation will review the privacy and data security principles which the FTC advises all businesses to follow when holding personal data to reduce the risk of a data compromise.

#RelationshipGoals - a Sales Tale - Presented by Paul Long
Why do customers buy? Are you certain that you are appealing to their personal motivations to purchase?  Paul Long will discuss the impact created when you show a genuine interest in your customers by asking questions that make them feel valued. Through Paul's concept of Fundamism, you will learn principles that aid in listening and connecting with others while stressing the importance of sincerity in every interaction. Leveraging his core principle of F.U.N., Paul will help you  gain clarity in identifying their "Foundation," provide a better "Understanding of Others" and identify "Next Steps" in improving your sales process. "The Service in Sales" is designed to enhance your customer interactions while revealing additional opportunity to cross-sell. You will be left with a stronger understanding how to extend customer conversations through discovery, push vs pull sales techniques and the power of showing a genuine interest in others.
